BHRide Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 12, 2026
Overview
BHRide is an indoor cycling companion app that connects to Bluetooth (BLE) fitness machines. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data BHRide accesses and how it is handled.
Data We Access
- Bluetooth Data: BHRide connects to BLE fitness machines (e.g., indoor bikes supporting FTMS protocol) to read real-time cycling metrics including power (watts), cadence (RPM), and resistance level. This data is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted to any server.
- Apple HealthKit: With your explicit permission, BHRide can save completed cycling workouts to Apple Health, including duration, distance, calories, power, cadence, and speed. BHRide does not read any data from Apple Health.
- Workout Files: BHRide can export ride data as TCX files stored locally on your device. You choose when and where to share these files.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- No personal information (name, email, phone number)
- No location or GPS data
- No usage analytics or tracking
- No advertising identifiers
- No data is sent to any external server
- No user accounts or login required
Data Storage
All data processed by BHRide stays on your device. Cycling metrics are held in memory during your ride and discarded when the app is closed, unless you explicitly save to Apple Health or export a TCX file.
Third-Party Services
BHRide does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external integration is Apple HealthKit, which is controlled entirely by iOS and requires your explicit permission.
Children's Privacy
BHRide does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
